  2. Games on hard drive

Hi I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong section of the forums but I currently have saints row 1 and 2 and I'm trying to play them but I don't see them in my games list. Also when I go to storage it says unknown profile and when It says I can move it so my
profile is the new owner it says it cant be transferred to another profile. im really confused.

p.s a long time ago i was able to play the games without the disk so please dont give out that tip.

    thanks

I like the idea, but Microsoft has some policies that bother me with that.

-If you are banned, you lose everything you ever bought (roommates or kids can do this for you)

-They don't guarantee lifelong console support to play your games when you are 80

    -Playing offline is not possible

-No market pricing, meaning low quality games will be $60 until one company says so

Hey, I don't sell my games. I have a stack of 360 games that's 6 feet tall. I would like to get back to these when I am retired, which is uncertain with the prior idea. It wasn't bad. They should have figured to link a disc's unique Id with a user or refine
it a little better. Maybe next time.

It's best if you wipe everything off of the Xbox One before selling/gifting it to someone else - that way they can't access it at all. If you get another XB1, then you can simply retrieve all of your info (profile, games, saves, etc.) from the cloud.

If you leave the games on there, I believe your friend won't be able to access them unless your profile is also on there or unless he decides to purchase them (in the latter case, he can save time by not having to redownload them).

Regardless of whether you decide to leave the games on there or not, I definitely do not recommend ever leaving your profile on there, especially if it's not password-protected - that's just a huge theft waiting to happen (game purchases and app access,
and account information like passwords, credit card information, etc).

Digital games are linked to your gamercard, if you remove it they will no longer be able to play the games. You could password protect the GT, still I wouldn't feel comfortable about that myself.

There is game sharing, where if you leave GT and set that xbox to home, and they do the same vice versa, you can both play the same copy of the game. Although, I expect you're not getting another X1 so this feature is pointless for you.

Cheers guys and dw i wont be leaving my GT on there or any other personal details i was just confused about the games on there because there was people saying you can then others saying you cant. But by the sounds of it though its better to just get rid
of them all together, as there more than likely going to be useless to him once my GT is off. Thanks for your help though.

Games are tied to your "Home Console". You can remove your gamertag and your friend will still be able to play...unless you get another X1 and decide to make that your home console.

    Peace, J.R.

Hard drive to hard drive game copy

Have you tried any of the steps at
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/4026106/xbox-one-manage-space

Which storage device do you have set as the default install device? You could try uninstalling the base game, and then re-downloading it to one of the other storage devices.

Out of curiosity, was the Ark base game a disc install, or a digital download?

if having trouble, i know its a pain in the butt, but set one of your hard drives to install all new content, and delete and reinstall the game i know it will take time but it should clear out what clearly is a bug issue

    USB Sticks/ Hard Drives compatible

If the game says it requires a hard drive, then it needs an Xbox hard drive. Some games require the hard drive due to system files on the drive.

Hey PCDUBAY, currently you cannot store discs to enable switching of games. Under Microsofts old plan this would have been allowed, but it was not popular. To do instant switching you would need to download games digitally from the Xbox Store
