    Games on external Hard Drive do not launch reliably


    Hello,

    I recently have been having trouble launching games that are installed on my external hard drive... After displaying the game "splash screen" for approximately 10 seconds, I get a message saying that it is taking too long to load the game (0x8027025a)

    I have reset my console multiple times (by holding down the Power button, and through the "Settings" menu item), once in a while I am able to launch games again, but after a day or I run into the same problem... Any advice would be appreciated

    Forza Horzion 4 take to long to start (0x8027025a)

    Do other games launch ok ? Also is the game installed on the internal Xbox hard drive or an external hard drive.

    Cannot launche Halo : Anniversary from Hard Drive Disk

    Ok now it's a problem.

    I pluged an external Hard Drive, I've installed:

    -Halo 4

    -Halo Anniversary

    -The walking Dead Survival Instinct

    Only The Walking Dead launch from the external Hard Drive, other games launch from disc.

    But why????

    There is a possibility that there is either a connection issue with your external hard drive or somehow the external drive is corrupted. One possible solution is to uninstall the game and then reinstall the game. Try installing the game on only the internal Xbox hard drive to see if that fixes the problem. Also, try launching other games on your external hard drive to see if how those games are functioning normally.
