    Games on external drives won't open.


    Just curious if anyone else here is having issues with their external drives. Currently I have a 2TB external drive and every game I open that's installed there gives me an error. I've formatted the drive twice, rebooted the console, and checked for updates. After I reinstalled games I still have the same problem. I am not sure if it's the drive or if it's the preview OS

    No, I'm not doing any of those things. the external hard drive just won't eject even if all apps using it are closed, and this happens only after xbox game pass is opened, even if I close it after.

    Hi,

    I just checked again with the main game on the external drive and Baba Yaga only, but it did not work.

    As soon as any DLC is installed on the external drive the game only starts if the console is offline or if you use the button combo.

    Seems the DLC won't authenticate if installed on an external drive. Based on the square enix forums it may be region specific.

    Atm the game launches fine with the game on the external drive and the DLC on the internal drive.

    Want a way to hide installed game from the list

    Hi,

    The only sure fire way would be to buy an external hard drive, install the game to this device and only plug it in when you want to play it. You could also use the external drive to install other games you don't want the children to have access to.

    This is the only way since it's not possible to hide games. But games installed to an external hard drive won't show if said external drive is not plugged in.

    I moved my games from the internal hard drive to the external hard drive to see if my games won't kick me to the dashboard I tried it yesterday with a external hard drive I had never used for my Xbox. My games were never on the external hard drive they
