Games on disc. Do I need to repurchase digital versions?

If most of your games are on disc then the Series S (which does not have an optical drive) isn't for you. If purchased this console, you'd need to buy the digital versions of your games again.

Also be aware that the Series S is more of an entry level console, and while it has better specs and performance then the Xbox One and One S, it lacks storage space. You're better off with the Series X.

Unfortunately the Xbox Series S does not support physical disc based games. Therefore, you will need to repurchase the digital versions of those games in order to play them.

You would have to repurchase them digitally if you want them digitally. There's no way to download games for free just for owning the disc version.

Unfortunately with the disc-less console you would have to repurchase the games digitally if they are available. Otherwise, you would need the Series X in order to use the discs and not have to repurchase the games.
