games on demand require online pass?

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask but hopefully someone could help...

I'm thinking of picking up the GOD version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier, but I remember hearing that you still need to buy the online pass for GOD titles. I already own the game on disc, but I bought it used so the online pass code was used. So the only
reason I would buy the GOD version is for the online pass (the GOD game is cheaper than the pass at the moment)

Can anyone tell me for sure if they do require purchasing the online pass?

On Demand Game Needs!!!

Three of the 4 games you listed require Online passes to play. So they will NEVER come to Games on Demand.

 

On Demand Purchase - Games With Online Pass

If I purchase a game from the marketplace in the "on demand" section and the retail disc requires an online pass do I receive the online pass with the on demand purchase or must it be dowloaded separately?

 

All Games on Demand titles should not require an online pass, as they are new and can't be sold as used.

 

Thanks for answering, are you talking from experience or just guessing? As I would assume that any GOD game should not require buying a online pass, but as I said, I definitely remember hearing that they do...

 

Actually, unless stated otherwise in the description of the game, games on demand games do not come with the online pass. You would still need to purchase it separately.

 

Thanks! I guess I won't be picking it up then. I hate the whole online pass thing to begin with (I already pay to play online with my Live Gold account!), but not being included in the digital versions of games is terrible, especially when their prices
are generally not at all competitive with the retail disc versions. Stinks of greed to me!

Dragon age 2 has inlcuded a DLC bonus in digital version in GOD

Other games like DOA 5 has to buy online pass too

Batman arkhan city has to buy catwoman "pass"

You have to search whif people has buyed GOD version of this game to known, because that change producer to producer has no a unique style of sale

Senryu BR I'm not sure where you got your information from but I have DA2 and Arkham City GoD. Dragon Aage 2 has no extra DLC and Arkham City does indeed come with the Catwoman content unlocked (though you must download it separately).

From my experiences (I buy mostly everything digital) multiplayer is unlocked if the game requires an unlock code to play multiplayer. Most publisher however do not give you the additional content (free DLC with new purchase) unless it's a retail copy of the
game.

 

I guess I'll have to find someone who bought GR:FS on GOD, as I don't wanna waste money to find out. Thanks for everyone's help
