Games on Demand price matching?

I didn't think they'd do it but I didn't know if anyone had any personal experience on the matter. There are various sales each month so price matching didn't seem like something impossible.

Per chat support, the answer is NO.

I have never really heard of anyone price matching digital content with that of a retail physical copy. This comes from the issues that, the digital content is hosted online and is not technically stocked at any one location, so the price you see is the
price everyone else also sees. You would have to talk to support for sales of MS products, because the only way to give you and you alone a sale, would be to have them push the content to your console, while also subtracting the deal total cost from your
account.

The second problem comes from your current location, all sales are based on US prices, while retail sales are based on State/Province/Territory. So while you might have a sale at your current location, some person 25km/miles away will not. Granted you are
trying to price match Amazon, and they really don't have a "location" as they are an online retailer, but they also mostly deal in physical copies.

I would say off hand the answer is no, you cannot price match a retail sale for an MS store price. However, given time I'm sure that the digital copy will someday be that price, but if your truly adamant about getting that price, just buy the disk and install
it to your HDD. It will sort of become a digital copy, but you'll still need the disk to load it, the rest will run off your HDD.

Try support, but just know they will probably not honor a match as it might be quite difficult to remove currency from your account without you doing it on your own. Legality's and so on.

For the most part I agree the prices are too high especially since the lowest a 360 game will priced on demand is $20 and you can find a lot of those games for under $20. However sometimes the prices are fair I bought Saint's Row 2 on demand for $20 which
is the current price for it at Amazon and Gamestop.



Also Fable 3 is listed as $39.99 on demand while it is $35.77 at Amazon and $39.99 at Gamestop. Mafia 2 is listed as $29.99 on demand Amazon has it as $25.08 and Gamestop has it at $29.99. So there are some games you can get on demand for the same price
they sell at major stores.

Yep, I have a physical copy of Tales of Vesperia and wouldn't part with it for less than £100..... although I have no intention of selling it.... great game.... very hard to come by
