Games not working after update

when I update certain games they will stop loading and i have to uninstall and reinstall the entire thing is this a fixable issue? Or what am I dealing with here?

Disc-based Games Not Working After Update

on 3/18 when I turned my console off it turned itself back on as if it were downloading an update. It may have been an update, but in any case the disc games I put in were coming up with an error that said the disc was dirty. After powercycling it worked
perfectly. It happened to 3 other people I know and after they powercycled everything was fine.

So if this is happening to you or someone you know, you now know what to do.

Ya same here buddy. I found a work around nothing permeant but it will let you play, just turn the xbox off then put the disk in. Kinda sucks but it works for me

Sometimes they just stall on the install. I just walk away or play something else. Don't think it's a known bug.

Hi, I'm new here. I too have experienced a similar problem since having to complete an 'offline upgrade' last week when the console failed during a scheduled update. Since then I am unable to play any disk games, the digital ones work fine, but when I
click on a game it just hangs. I spent a considerable amount of time last night with Microsoft support who admitted the problem is related to the recent update. However, they indicated the issue would be resolved within 24/48hrs (please don't hold your breath!!!).
Unfortunately the person I was dealing with wasn't of much help, responding with their usual scripted responses about how sorry they are, etc, etc. If you haven't done so already, might be worth raising a ticket with support. Good luck.

Well do they plan on releasing an update to fix this? or are they just gonna be lazy and not patch it because its not happening to everyone?

They do test them. Many on these forums are involved in testing them. Unfortunately, there is no way they can test every possible combination of hardware/software that people will be using .

Wish I had an answer, I don't have the same problem, but my console is a joke sense the update as well. Money well spent.....
