Games not starting properly

I agree with all of the solutions provided but one I didn't see mentioned which helps me from time to time is to press the guide button and quick swap to a different game and then repeat the process and go back to the game you wanted to play.

You can also press menu and scroll down to quit but this seems to take longer. What this will do is attempt a restart of that game/program. I have speculated that this may have to do with a bad start and may have to do with the harddrive but I honestly don't
know.

This has sometimes helped me, especially with Idle champions of the forgotten realm. I hope you find out the issue!

The simplest of fixes would be to do a Power Cycle.

The way to go about this is as follows.

- Go to settings and clear persistent storage under the disc option.

- Unplug all cables, except HDMI and power cord, unplug any external HDD's and eject any disc inside.

- After doing so, press and hold the power button on the console until it goes off. You will hear a slight clicky noise.

- Unplug the HDMI and power cord. Unplug the power brick from the wall socket (If the console is the Original Xbox One model)

- Wait for the orange light go off.

- After that, plug everything back in as normal.

This normally works for me but please let know if it worked.
