Games not starting on my Xbox

    Games not starting on my Xbox


    Some games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Rainbow Six Siege will not start in my Xbox. I have tried quitting out of the games and going back into the games, power cycling my Xbox, uninstalling the apps and redownloading them,
    and I even tried moving the games onto a seperate hard drive and start them from there, nothing has worked. My Modern Warfare oringally just wouldnt start but now its saying its a corrupt file. I havent downloaded anything to my Xbox to make this file corrupt
    so I dont know why its saying that. For Rainbow Six Siege, it just wont start. Everytime I open the game it shows the title screen where the people are exploding through the door for a minute or so and then it will go to my home screen and give me a pop up
    saying the game or app took to long to start. Ive reported the problem multiple times. I'm starting a discussion post here to try and get any support on what I can do from here because Ive done all of the troubleshooting I know of and researched ways to fix
    it and nothing is working. Thank you for your time. My gamertag that I use is "IGodlyBobI".

    I had a similar problem with a different game where I done a hard reset of the system and re installed it

    frustrating I know but it was just what was needed and now runs fine

    I hope you get this fixed soon so you can enjoy your game

    Thanks for reaching out to Xbox Forums support. I understand there is an issue with your digital game GTA 5 not working. I recommend to try the following troubleshooting article: Uninstall
    / Reinstall Xbox One Games

    If you're only experiencing this issue with one game, I believe uninstalling it and reinstalling it should get it working again.

    Give this a try and let us know the results.

    Thank you for posting on Xbox Forums. In regards to the issue with GTA V not starting, have you tried to

    Power Cycle    the console? What about trying to
    Uninstall     and
    Reinstall     the game itself from the console.

    I would recommend trying thee solutions first to see if they will resolve the issue. If you have any other questions please feel free to reply back letting us know.

    Factory Reset     your console.

    Have you done the recent update? Check in your updates and make sure it has dine it, as they had some balancing update a few days ago.
