Games not listing since adding external HDD

Since adding an external drive and formatting for xbox use the games tab on the "my games and apps" application shows no games being installed on the internal drive or external drive. The games are obviously still installed on the internal drive as I can
still launch the couple that are in my recent items menu on the main xbox start screen. Judging from the used percentage of the new drive the couple of games I have installed to it should probably be showing up too.

The page shows all the games I own but do not currently have installed as available for install, but they disappear once they are downloaded and installed.

How can I fix this?

Is there any way to access games without using the "my games and apps" application?

Slow performance ever since adding external hdd

Ever since the last update I've noticed my system not responding fast at all to button presses. It used to respond super fast, seemed instant almost. Like it should be.

 

Installations failing on external drives

I had the same issues with certain games and apps not installing on the external USB 3.0 Lacie Rugged Mini 2TB HDD.

Once the games or apps would not install on the external HDD it will not move to the external HDD either.

The HDD is not faulty. I believe it is fine. I tried with several brands myself and they are fine on the Macs and PCs.

I believe it is digital rights management issues along with Xbone system software issues.

I hope Xbone engineering team resolve this soon as I cannot buy any games from the store since I cannot install on the external HDD.

 

Try restarting the console by pressing left to bring up the side panel. move over the settings icon then select restart.

 

Cheers. That seems to have worked. I assume that restart is a proper one whereas the usual "Console Off" is a sleep rather than a proper off/on.
