For some odd reason the xbox isnt reading my Assasins creed disc i have already installed and played it before but its not working please help

Hello X23rdProdigyX,

We definitely understand the frustration. I want you to try and remove the update to see if your disk drive works. If it still doesn't work after removing the update, we can assume the update was not to blame (and thus an unfortunate coincidence). Here's
how to remove the update:

Try the first solution there, but skip step 5. Instead, just try to play a game with the console disconnected from LIVE.

Good thing its been 7 days and still not another xbox support person has tried to help with my problem good thing to know they actually care about their customers.

I am also having this issue, Reads all other discs fine. Disc is brand new just purchased 2 days ago - returning disc today if replacement has same issue I'm contacting MS

I take it you guys are having same issue as me where it goes to the press a screen, then syncs data but wont go any further and load the main menu? Anyone found a fix yet?

try disconnecting power cord - then try again - worked for me

Sorry to hear about your trouble, but if it says that the console needs to be sent off again then that is probably the only way for the problem to be fixed.
