Games not auto updating when powered off

yea keep the auto update on and never fully power down ur xbox things will download in the background, the games and updates download faster when the game is off. Sucks to have to shift your expectations but hopefully they will rid that with the next systems.

it is waking periodically to check for updates, this requires the hdd to run and the fan comes on, if you don't want this then configure the power setting to fully turn of the xbox, this will turn off the auto updating feature so you would most likely have
to manually install game updates when starting a game.

if you have auto updates on it will update the game when you are in low power stand by mode if im not mistaken

If your on instant on mode deezee check you have auto update on in settings, power and startup.

Then power off like normal and leave it off for about 15 mins, you should see the power bricks light go orange after a bit. When you then turn it on it should install the update.

That's how I got mine to do it anyway.

Haven't had any issues with updates, I have all my consoles set to auto update even when powered off so I'm wondering if between that and a manual upgrade theirs an issue.
