    Games not auto downloading to console


    I have been having issues with games not auto downloading to my Xbox which was working fine a month ago. I have all settings correct for Xbox to do this but when I turn on my Xbox they have not downloaded only when I restart my console does it start to install
    them. Anyone else having these issues?

    Game Updates not Auto Downloading

    Why won't my Xbox one X automatically download updates overnight or during the day? I have to start the game, then it closes and starts and update when one is found. My current settings:

    Updates:

    Console: Keep console up to date - Checked

    Games and Apps: When this is enabled your Xbox will automatically apply background updates to your games and apps: Checked

    Power and startup;

    -Turn off after: Do not turn off automatically.

    -Power Mode - Instant-On

    - When Xbox is off, turn off storage - Unchecked

    yes something to say.

    Hard to follow what you mean without any specific game names given. Are you referring to downloading games you purchased threw the website that are auto installing on your console?

    How is your console connected to the internet, wired or wireless? Also, do you have Instant On enabled or is it set to Power Save?

    hi yes my console is in instant on it started working again. But has stopped working now tried downloading resident evil 7 demo via app and just went to ready to install and didn't auto install. What I have found is that if I restart the console it will
    start downloading the game then its basically inconsistent,my Xbox is wired connection

    Not auto updating

    Hi

    With game update if your console has been set to auto update it will most likely be that the update has only just been released and the console has not had the opportunity to yet download the update.

    As for Dynasty Warriors can you confirm if this is your home console as purchases made through Xbox.com will only auto download on your home console.

    Hey Unbeatable, with the older consoles there is a higher chance of something happening to it. Just to add on to what everyone else said, If you go to Settings > System > Console Settings > Startup and Shutdown, you will see 3 options, startup, auto-off
    and background downloads. The Auto-off and Background downloads is something you may be interested in. The Auto-off shuts down your console after a period of inactivity. The Background downloads, when you turn your console off, if there is anything your xbox
    is downloading, it will finish up all the downloads then turn your console off. Just a couple tips that I thought you might like
