Games not applying enhanced/4k assets?

Here is the work I've done to prove this is an issue. I don't know why it has been so hard to get an answer on this.

Scenario: Halo 5 and Titanfall 2, and Killer Instinct are installed on an external hard drive. I had selected the "download 4k assets" option on my older console (X1S) before getting the X.

Hooked up the X. Attached the external HDD that had those three games installed. The games appeared as expected.

However, upon accessing the start+select+L bumper+R b bumper menu, only Halo 5 was displaying the "Applied: XBox-Scorpio" designation. Neither Titanfall 2 nor Killer Instinct were showing this, despite all three games showing the "X1SE: True" designation.
So the system is seeing all three games as X enhanced, but apparently only applied the update for one of them??

Since then, I have reinstalled both Titanfall and Halo 5. Titanfall 2 was digital so I just uninstalled everything and reinstalled it. Issue remained. Halo 5 was on disc, so I uninstalled the game and then inserted the disc to reinstall. After reinstall
was complete, this is what the start+select+bumpers menu showed:

So that menu says Scorpio assets were not installed now (since it was installed off disc and not updated). This is not unexpected, but it also leads me to believe that Titanfall 2 and Killer Instinct are NOT updated with the enhanced assets since they also
do not show those assets installed.

What is going on with this?

Doom 4k HDR

Looking at the Xbox One X Enhanced list here:
https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/xbox-one/xbox-one-x-enhanced-list, Doom is 4K on the Xbox One X, but not HDR supported.

If your Xbox one X is set for 4K resolution, then it will automatically play Doom in 4K

Cod ww2 enhanced patch

I have the same issue. Patch size seems to reflect 4K content present, but not showing in my list for 4K enhanced games.

I'm having the same issue with multiple games. Battlefield 1 is showing false and also Prey. Halo is showing true and Scorpio update but it is only partial showing the full Scorpio update ready but not downloaded. Everything else is showing true but no Scorpio

Hi,

when you play a game that is xbox one x enhanced you'll get a update prompt to download the 4k assets in order to play the game in 4k

if they show up as enhanced then its working, 4k assets and playing in 4k are two different things

many games just have 4k resolution so game size doesnt change much if at all, the games that do have 4k assets would be gears tomb raider sea of thieves which do have bigger sizes

If you're plugging into an Xbox One X, the games may well be pulling in 4K assets, if they are One X enhanced titles. On Xbox One S, there is a setting to

enable the download of 4K assets if you intend on moving the drive between consoles.

If they do the proper 4K enhancements, they'll look good but I don't think the games had native 4K assets on the Xbox 360, so I'm not sure if they'll come close to that PC version.
