games not appearing in ready to install

i have two already purchased 360 games in the backward compatibility. then i go too the ready to install and the games arent there.what do i do???

Ready To Install: Games not appearing

Recently i got Project cars and evolve through games with gold. When i got them i thought not to install them until a later date, what i did not realize was that they were not appearing in my Ready To Install section

Firstly, i went onto the main game page to re-install the game. Once it started "Working" it instantly stopped and asked if i wanted get the game, i tried it again and then i got "Something Went Wrong"

I don't know what the cause is, i've tried: power cycling, logging in and out of my account, restarting my console all without success.

Please help me find a fix for this

Has any games shown up? If not you may need to check you have the latest update. If they have you may need to restart your Xbox for them to show up

I have this problem as well. I haven't gone to my account settings to see if all purchased games are missing - but I know I am missing Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2. That is the main arcade game that I still play on 360, and it is on the approved list.
It does not appear in the Ready to Install list for me.

Is there supposed to be a delay? I have dirt3 working but can not get the new dungeon siege 3 to show up. I made sure I logged in as the account i use on both the 360 and one units.

This process might make more sense if the play on xbox one button actually did something besides going to an advertising page. a success message indicating that x game will be available on y account on your xbox one ready to install window. I don't think
that is an unreasonable expectation.

Stuart - Oh, my! I was 100% positive I saw Geometry Wars 2 on the original list way back when this was announced - I've been so looking forward to this day! I would rant on here about how it got removed... but I'm sure I just mis-read something along the
way. Thanks for pointing that out.

ARRRGH! Now I will need to go the voting page and start begging others to vote... thank you for the simple answer. As it turns out, all of my other games are there with no issues. I can even play 2-player Heavy Weapon again. Wonderful feature.

If you power cycle your console by holding down the power button for 10 seconds (or until your Xbox One powers off) does the game show up in your Ready To Install list? If you're still not seeing the game please be sure to check out our

This happens to me from time to time as well. A game just won't show up in my Ready to Install, even though I own it and it should. What I do is I just manually search for the game in the Store, and when you pull it up, it will say Install there. I just
install it from there.

To add a couple things to what Geth said.

When you try and start a game the system will look for the license for the game there are a few ways to get a license for the game.

1. Physical disc- The disc HAS to be in the system in order to play the game and any account on the console can play the game as long as the disc is in the disc drive.

2. Digitally- This can be done 2 different ways.

A. Be signed in with the account that purchased the game No matter what console the account is signed into it will be able to play the game.

B. If an account that owns the game has the console set as its home console then ANY other profile on that console can play the game.

Now there is also a few different ways for an account that once had a digital license to lose the digital license for a game.

1. The purchase was refunded for one reason or another.

You can check the status of an order by signing into your account at account.microsoft.com and going to your order history.

2. If it was a Xbox One Games With Gold then you do have to maintain the Gold subscription in order to maintain the license for the game.

You can check the status of your Gold subscription by going to account.microsoft.com/services

3. If the account that purchased the game no longer has the console set as its home console and you are trying to play the game on an account that did not purchase it digitally.

You can check whether the account has the console set as its home console by signing into the account and going into settings and under the personalization tab going to Home Xbox and it will tell you whether or not that console is the currently signed
in profiles home console or not.

I have had a similiar issue with digital games where a game did not show up in ready to install list.

After some web searches I found a solution:

Just go to the Microsft Store and search for the game in question. Once found select it and it should show "Install"

Please note that this solution will only work with digital games
