    Games lag so bad for no reason


    I have noticed recently over the past few weeks that for no real explaination that I get terrible lag in my games and it makes them unplayable. Has anyone else had a similar problem whereby it just started to go bad overnight?

    I had this problem after I bought a new TV. If you have a "game mode" option on your TV, make sure it's selected when your using you Xbox.

    I've had this problem now for about a week. Have 65mb download speed and open NAT but for some reason the lag is terrible. Really frustrating but can't see how to resolve

    Try resetting your router or hard resetting the Xbox - hold the power button on front of the Xbox until it turns off then unplug it for 5-10 mins

    The reason being host CAN be bad is because of lag compensation. So being host can't be worse when its issues are directly related to lag comp.
