Games Keep Crashing

I have this same problem.

I can't sprint in fallout 4 to one location or another. auto-saves crashes it.

I used to never have a problem with FFXV but now it crashes a lot. (did the pitoss dungeon. and had to restart. )

I have tried power cyclying. and everything else. I don't really want to do a factory reset. but if I must I will.

just why does it boot me back to the home screen so much.

How do I fix corrupted data?

like I was playing Mad Max the other day. and I get some major slowdown. during a race. and trying to tak down a camp whilst driving. so once I got done. I powered cycled and it worked great. for about 2-3 hours then it started to slow down again. I tried
to go from one territory to another really fast and jumped off a cliff. and the game crashed.

or I'll be crafting in skyrim and I'll make a bunch of potions and the game crashes.

or I do some parkour in Prototype 2 and it crashes.

or even I just walking to a quest giver in Shining Dragon Resonance and it crashes.

it used to be just every once and a while. But now it is happening so much. I can't even play Fallout 4 anymore cause it crashes so much. (I don't even use mods or anything. just creation club...) (I've been trying to get all achievements.... sucks you can't
have mods and get achievements.)

well i'm not disconnected from live. There are some games that worked like Destiny but Halo 5, Ark Survival , and even the preview app keep crashing on me.

My initial gut feeling makes me think it might be a storage problem. Are you using an external drive?

I'd recommend first thing is to change the drive where the game lives, so if you have an external drive, move it from existing storage to the other and see if the issue persists. This page has some details on

managing storage. You can move the game between storage devices with the steps found here.

If you don't have external storage, then I might suggest that you open a service case with Microsoft to have them service the machine at
Microsoft Device Support or following the steps on

this page.

 

tried power cycling it. no luck.

And I don't use an external storage device... heck I haven't even put in a USB since I got it.....

so I don't know really what to do.... might just factory reset it after the holidays are over.

Just try a uninstall and re-install of the game. See if that helps first then I suggest doing the

factory reset if it doesn't work.

Before doing the reset make sure you know all primary emails/password for accounts on the console.
