Games Jittery

Whilst I'm playing Forza 5 and FIFA 14 the games jitter in places.

In Forza 5 the loading screen seems to lag a bit then in races it doesn't feel as smooth as it has been when I first got my One.

In FIFA 14 the menus lag a bit and online matches lag terribly.

Could my Internet connection cause the lag in Forza 5?

Micro23: Please clarify. Is the XBox User Interface jittery, or is it just the content coming from the set-top box jittery?

Game play is much better for the few games I played. About 1/2 were "jittery" though until I rebooted the console.

 

Have you ever hard rebooted your xbox since setting it up? There appears to be a memory leak issue and the hard reboot clears it.

While the XB1 is powered on, hold (touch) the power button for 5-10 second until it turns off. Give it a few seconds then press the power button to turn it on. The boot will take a little longer than the normal 'wakeup' startup time, but the memory will
be cleared and the entire system will respond much better.

 

OP, did you find a resolution to the issue?

Apparently, it happens to a lot of people, but some report not experiencing it at all. Either that, or they're not noticing it.

I get them too. So do a handful of guys on the official forum: forzamotorsport.net.

A hard reset will resolve sounds bugs and maybe smoother loading overall, but the screen stutter is simply there; most likely a data streaming HDD issue, or the memory not being able to keep up.

H2 sometimes does this too, but it's very rare.

Try running FM5 on an external 7200 RPM HDD.
