    Games in English


    I live in Germany, but I'm not a German speaker. I moved my account to Germany in order to be able to use online services, but since then I also receive games in German and have my XBox menu in German, despite that my console system language is English.

    I want content in language I can fully understand, without being tied to current country "default". How do I get english speaking games with my account residing in Germany?

    (Honestly, excuse me, but the fact that it doesn't work as expected is just so stupid)

    I live in Italy. If I want to buy a game in English, there will be some problem with the dlcs?

    I prefer the original english games, not the translated ones. Th question is:

    I live in Italy, if I have an english game and I want to buy a dlc on xbox live, it will be in english, in italian, or it will not work ?

    If there are problems with english games and their dlc, there is a solution to buy a english dlc on xbox live for a xbox game?

    It just depends on the games you're downloading. Developers usually provide games in a language based on where you live. Some of the games will allow you to change the language in the in-game menus, but not all.

    The only other way would be to purchase the games on discs that will work on your console but are also in English.

    Please first make sure this page says your correct country at the top:

    If that is correct for your country, I've seen random issues of just one email being in the wrong language before. It could be a temporary glitch.

    If that page does not say the right country then I would suggest you make sure your country is correctly set for your Microsoft account here:

    https://live.xbox.com/accountmigration     Please make sure you read all the warnings first before choosing to migrate your account region as it can only be done once every 3 months and digital games will stop working if you've bought them in another region.
