go to the Microsoft Store website and look for the game, it will appear that you have the game if you use the account that bought it, so you can install it on one of your devices, then just ask to install it on your computer

Only games that are
Play Anywhere games can be purchased on the One or PC and redownloaded for free on the other. The Master Chief Collection is not part of Play Anywhere so you would have to purchase it on PC in order to play it on PC. Gears of War 4 and 5 are included in
Play Anywhere so those would be the only Gears games you should be able to download on the PC.

I bought the Java Edition and migrated it to the Windows 10 Edition, does this not give me a free version of Windows 10 Edition Minecraft, I have to re-buy it?

I have another question, my son told me to buy game pass ultimate, which I have done, but when I go to the Minecraft for Windows ten on the Xbox Console Companion, it only gives me the option to download the trial version. Is Minecraft for PC not a free
download with Game Pass?

What's on your Xbox would not be the Windows 10 Edition as that only works on PC. Did they give you a code for the Windows 10 edition?

I haven't heard of any promotions with Xbox giving the Windows 10 Edition for free with purchasing the Xbox One version. There was a free upgrade from Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to the current version which is just Minecraft.
