Games I don't own appeared, some can even be played

I've seen people online report the same thing as this, but they usually say they're not going to report it because they're taking advantage of it.

First, there are only two accounts on my X1. Mine and my wife's. She doesn't own a single game on her account, doesn't have a subscription to EA access or anything (and after all of this happened I double checked it all to be certain). I also asked support
last night if there was a free EA Access weekend promotion or something going on, and they told me there is not, so it's not that, in the case of EA vault games.

Here's the timeline of what's happened for me:

A couple of weeks ago when there were lots of XBL problems, I was playing Rocket League and suddenly I got a notification that the BTTF DLC was ready to use for it. I hadn't bought it, it just showed up. I checked and it lets me use it in game. I checked
online and my account does not show me ever purchasing it or that I own it.

Yesterday, I was scrolling through my games and in the ready to install list, it showed Fifa 16. I don't own Fifa 16. Curious, I downloaded it, and it let me play it. I thought maybe there was a trial or something, but I couldn't find anything saying
I was playing a trial. Even if there were, that wouldn't explain why it showed up in my ready to install list without me doing anything.

Then I decided to look through my entire list of installed games to see if there was anything else out of the ordinary there. This is what I found as far as things I don't own, including the above:

Fifa 16 - Showed up in my ready to install list without me doing anything, I installed, lets me play, even though I don't own it.

Rocket League BTTF DLC - Installed all on its own, lets me use it, even though I don't own it.

Unravel - Fully installed without me doing anything, but won't let me play because I don't own it

Battlefront - Fully installed without me doing anything, but won't let me play it because I don't own it

Dragon Age: Inquisition - Installed during trial period, but now will let me fully play it, without trial or ea access.

Battlefield 4 - Installed during free ea access weekend, but now I can still play it, without ea access

Battlefield: Hardline - Installed during free ea access weekend, but now I can still play it, without ea access.

I talked to support, and they didn't seem to have any idea what could cause it since I'm not getting access to it from another account on the console.

Obviously, this doesn't really negatively affect my ability to use my console, so it's not really a complaint. I just want to make certain that the Xbox team is aware that this kind of stuff is happening. If it's becoming a common thing, it could turn
into a big issue with people playing lots of games they don't own.

Terrible Impression

I don't think he even played any games either. Seems odd. I don't even own an Xbox One and I doubt the download times for me would be that bad.

 

XBox One Games Not Appearing on Recently Played Games?

Curious... I have played three games on my Xbox One and none have appeared on my Recently Played Games list.. I don't really care about it, but was curious about the absence...

 

Does anyone else have your log in info who may have purchased it?

 

Nope. And I've checked my purchase history, none of these games have ever been purchased on either of the accounts on my xbox.

And as an update, the new Rocket League just popped up as installed on my console. I did not purchase it.

 

And by that, i meant the new Rocket League DLC just popped up. I just checked, it will let me use it.

I still have no idea why these things are showing up on my xbox.

 

Is it possible, that someone has used your xbox and set it as the home xbox under their account. That can explain why you are getting the games on your console.

 

Can my console still be set as their home console if I've removed their accounts from my xbox?

I have had some friends log into my xbox with their accounts back before they had their own xbox ones, but I have deleted their accounts since then and I assumed that would prevent my console from being their home console.

 

If they have set the home console before the account was removed, then the home console still stays until that user changes it on another console.

 

Yeah, it looks like my assumption was wrong. I found someone who had used their account on my xbox one before they got one (which apparently automatically sets my console as their home console in that situation?). They just set it to their own xbox one
to their home console and now I no longer have access to those games.

It seems like there really should be something that lets you know what accounts are tied to your console as the home console. There doesn't seem to be anything like that, that i could find at least. It was super confusing because I had no way of telling
that those deleted accounts were tied to my console like that.

 

I have the same thing ive had the xb1 since december and im the only profile thats been on it all of a sudden bf4 fifa 16 madden 17 all started showing up even the new need for speed and all these games they let me play them
