Games I already own for 360 Not getting BC but are getting remade as HD for XBOne.

I'm noticing a worrying trend of games that are already available on Xbox 360 having an HD version made for the XBOne but seemingly without a corresponding BC 360 release. That is old games that I already bought look like they will not get a BC version
in hopes of getting me to re-buy an HD version of a game I already own. For example, Resident Evil 4 and 5. I own both of those, both get new versions and I am stuck with 360 versions I can't play. Bioshock 1, 2 and Infinite getting the HD treatment. I own
all of those, will the 360 versions be made BC? Or what about all of the Batman Arkham games or Skyrim? That's right, I own them for 360, will they get BC when the remastered version comes out? If these games are popular enough to get remade they should be
popular enough to get the BC treatment.

Notice how the xbone live is fixed but the LIVE for 360 still has issues? Get used to it.......typical move from microsuck. Remember the BC on the 360....promised 100% BC but less that 1/2 through they stopped and closed the department. The xbone is out
now and the price is "promotionally" reduced again. The xbone issues have been fixed and the ones on the 360 are still at critical stage. I can't even log-in to my gamertag on the console. Their focus is CLEARLY on the xbone and nothing else. Their hopes are
for the consumer the drop the 360 and buy the xbone. This is clearly microsofts forecasted future. This with it's 0% BC will drive the consumer to eventually buy the same games again (marketplace) that we already own to "enjoy" on the xbone. I am guessing
this is the first (if not further up) step for their eventual 100% drop on support for the 360. Paranoid? NO. Conspiracy? No Bitter facts? YES. Just look at history.

Well two things when a games gets an hd remakes the publisher will unlikely provide any new sales frommbc or they won't make as much from a bc title

If a he version is released most likely new sales will come from.the hd version at 59-79 bucksn noone would buy the bc version if the hd version is out

Only players with the current disk would benefit from the bc but that wouldn't be a new sale

Remember it's not up to Ms to get these titles on bc

Its the publishers right to decided which ones goes up band most likely wouldn't be two versions only halo reach or any ms published titles does both as far as I know

Hey Scripe, I understand what you are saying. I myself also have the Batman Arkham games, and the Bioshock games too. But like ngocphi has said, it will be highly unlikely now that the 360 versions will be backward compatible, as it is down to each individual
developer/publisher whether or not to allow them to be backward compatible. But you never know they might be eventually. I myself cannot wait to play the Bioshock games or the Batman games again on the Xbox One. As big fan of the games and played them from
start to finish about 5 times, it is something I would love to do again and gain achievements doing it too!

 

Thanks for the replies. I didn't realize it was the devs/publishers who were deciding BC. While I understand it from a business standpoint, I'd prefer to spend money on new games I haven't played yet than spending that same money for games I already own.
I'm beginning to wish I hadn't traded in my 360 for the promise of BC. I'll probably just pick up on old used 360 system for those classic 360 games and focus on new XB ONE games instead of worrying about BC.
