Games gets unresponsive playing offline - something to do with caching online sync?

Sudden framerate drops and overall unresponsive in certain actions like saving settings in games.

It seems that xbox way of handling all saves that is supposed to be synced to account - and xbox is offline - that saves are both stored locally and cached locally to be synced for upload next time being online.

And it seems to be some retries to access account over internet when local cached size exceed a certain amount of data.

I will explain one incident that make me think this above is what is happening, and also why some gamers experience framedrops etc.

I started xbox and was offline, and started Project Cars about 22.00 hours in evening.

I did massive amounts of changing settings and doing races.

At some point save of settings started to take 30s or so - and game was unresponsive.

Anyway at about 02.00 am in the morning I went online with xbox.

Then into network and bandwidth usage statistics.

And it said 880 MB was transferred between 22.00-23.00 even though nothing was online then, not even modem or router were powered up. And at the current time 02.00-03.00 56 MB, which probably had to do with some activity towards live etc. The size of game
save was only 3.5 MB for Project Cars and seems that multiple of those saves were ackumulated each time and cached for upload later.

So my conclusion is that data were cached from time I started doing saves in Project Cars and were timestamped as transferred at that time 22.00.

No problem in itself - but it seems to make whatever running unresponsive with these background activites and how xbox manage to ensure everything saved is uploaded at next online situation. I think this behavior might be part of why many gamers experience
framedrops with all this background uploads or caching waiting to sync next time being online.

Can this be confirmed by Microsoft officials maybe - and forwarded to right instance. Only way otherwise is chat support which is no go in such an arrend.

XBOX Live down?

Maybe it has something to do with the 'Slim'? I say that because right now, my younger brother is playing on his Xbox 360 Slim and he's online, whereas my Older brother is playing on the MW2 Xbox 360 and he can't get online. By the way, the space between
the Xboxs is one room. Or maybe it has something to do with Wireless, same thing except the one that's online is on Wireless and the offline is ethernet. I'm just throwing ideas out there until it gets fixed. :\

 

please let devs support XBLA games more freely and less costly as it hurts all involved.

Isaac not every game need to be online game. We need some good singal players games. And I do not played alot online. Only here and there. And that it. Most of my time I played singal player. I am a caesual online gamer. But a hardcore offline gamer.
I do play online. But I do not lived on it. I played when there something I want to do. Like GEARS 3. I will played sometime this weekend to get to a onixs war surporter. But i really want to play some online coop in that game to get some achievements. But
i grew up with offline gaming. So I learned played that way.

This above was one evening not being online all the time, imagine what happends when not

being online and playing singleplayer for a month ackumulating autosaves from games. Major

concern.
