    Games freezing on Xbox consoles


    Games on both my Xbox Series S and Xbox One X freeze and close out. I have cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the games, restarted the consoles, removed my profile and added it back and none of this has worked. Any advise?

    Do you have your console in a cool place with lots of ventilation?

    Is your game disc in good condition?

    Do other games cause the console to freeze?

    If you have a hard drive or a USB flash drive with sufficient space, try installing your game, see if this fixes the freeze issue you have.

    For the issue with your console being slow to respond, or freezing, try the steps listed on our support page for

    Xbox 360 console stops responding or freezes    . Particularly, steps 4 through 7, since it's not a game related freeze.
