Gold not showing up

Ok, first off go to commerce.microsoft.com and sign in using your son's login info for his gamertag. You'll be able to see everything he's purchased or added to his account since it was created. You'll be able to see the length of time the code he entered
was.

If it was only a 30 day code, you should be able to get it rectified through buy.com. If it states that it was a 12 month code then phone support will be the ones who need to fix it as the code was entered properly.

 

Gold not showing up

My son purchased a 12 month card from buy.com. When he received it, he entered the code thru his console. He was able to play on LIVE for about a month and then it said his LIVE had expired. We have tried calling microsoft and they said to contact buy.com
and get them to give us the code again off the card. We tried to do that and buy.com told us that they never see the codes because they are shipped sealed from microsoft. I also can't find anywhere (email, gamer info, etc.) where xbox sent a confirmation that
he entered the code BUT they let him play for a month? Our problem now is what do we do as he threw the card away since it showed him as GOLD. I'm kinda at a loss here and he shouldn't have to lose $50 on it. I do have all the order/shipping/tracking emails
from buy.com but I don't know if that will do any good. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

 

The ads on the dashboard refresh frequently. There's no way to force on to show. You don't have to go through the ad to get the games with gold games though. You can just look for them in the store.
