just an idea games for gold seem to be giving us some crappy games for free i might add so no probs

but why not have a voting system so we the xbox live community can vote for a game xbox give us 5 options we vote what game we want the 2 with the most votes is the next months game

or people post ideas what game they would like to see on games for gold like halo wars good game great franchise but game never got off the ground with halo fans why not add this one then game wont die certain death its been out 5 years now and maybe if
halo wars came out on games with gold then microsoft maybe able to sell the map add on at 50% sale and make some money at least game will stay alive for a while and microsoft are allways looking for more ways to make more money lol

We have the games with gold action since some months and it´s a great thing, but most games were not that great.

Wouldn´t it be better to ask the gold members, what games they want and give the game out that most people wanted.

Even if they are some restrictions like no games that costs over 40€ or that have been released in the last two months,

it would make the games with gold action a lot better.

What do you think about that

That would kind of kill it for the niche gamers, wouldn't it? How do they get anything out of it if the promotion only gives out games based on popularity? As it is, they're giving away games that are selling well in the Marketplace, and choosing from
different kinds of games, to keep it as fair to everyone as possible, so that it's not controlled by mobs of gamers flaming each other over which game should be released next.

I can appreciate you'd like to have some input on it, though, and I'm always a fan of submitting feedback, but some things, I think, are better off out of our hands. It's fair to everyone the way it is. So far, there hasn't been a game released in this
promotion yet that didn't appeal to at least someone in my family.

 

Dont get me wrong i'm glad they started doing games with gold. Its just that some aren't that good, others are awful (no offense if you like them, im just picky), theres the occasional fantastic ones!

I totally agree with your voting idea. Let us pick what we want. Give us the chance to choose. This dungeon defenders is not exactly my cup of tea.

There has got to be something we can do to make it better!

 

exactly my point dont get me wrong i love that we get games for free but why are we getting games that are old rubbish and single player games we buy xbox live gold for a reason so we can go online and spank other gamers not go online to play single player

The voting idea will never work.

The people that don`t get the games they voted for will be making threads on here moaning just like this one.

The reason YOU buy gold is to play online games,a large percentage of people don`t,they prefer single player games.

Its only your opinion that says the games are bad,most people are quite happy to get games they would never tried otherwise.

 

I'd also like to add that what you find to be "crappy" games, others may actually enjoy them.

To be honest, the entire time this promotion has been going on, I think I've downloaded a whopping 1 game from it. lol.

 

Microsoft cannot give us AAA games. Voting would result in the latest and greatest game every time.

The voting idea has been brought up many times,it can`t fix "your problem".

Imagine if the 2 games that you voted for each month, out of the possible 5, never once get chosen.

You would be straight back here with another "constructive thread".

 

OP, welcome to the Xbox forums. You are either labeled a "fanboi" or crying/moaning, there is no in-between. Some people here respond with hostility to real or perceived complaints. You may have used "crappy" to simply indicate a lack of interest but
people are going to take that and run with it, even though you immediately said afterwards "for free I might add so no problems," which I think the above post neglected to acknowledge seeing as how he left that out and labeled the topic as "your problem."

I read the topic and interpreted it as "I'm not a fan of the titles offered so far but I didn't pay for them so I don't mind. Here is an idea I have for improvement." Sorry, but I don't agree that this is "moaning." It's a far stretch at most especially
when compared with a lot of other of the irate rants I have read here that actually did meet that criteria. I suspect primacy effects here.

This isn't the first time I have seen this suggestion with "halo wars" being softballed in.... maybe the solution should be to just make Halo Wars a GWG title at some point. MS Studios published it....

OP has the game he suggested, and its in his recently played list. Like many Halo 3, I think he is hoping for a multiplayer resurgence from a bunch of people getting to get it for free. Sometimes it's not about wanting a game, but to maybe pull in some
new players to one you like to play. I can respect that.

 

I agree, some of the games have been crap and they need to step up the quality of the games. as with some of the other threads i have posted in it would be nice to see the ability to make suggestions, or as you put it a vote. i also made the suggestion that
Xbox give gamers the option to choose lets say one of three games available in the games for gold program. lets say the games are from different genres as to appease different players tastes. so every 15 days a new selection of games is available to pick one
game to download for free and then you can leave a vote or suggestion on a future selection.

 

yeah they are crappy games, played them for 5 minutes then deleted them, oh i played dead island for 10 minutes, give us some good games weve been on live and loyal for years and years, we deserve them!

 

I'm happy they're giving free games, they don't have to do that. So voting will never happen. They're going to give us marginally older games, which is okay. I would like more newer games, but I'll take whatever I get.

 

Personally, I don't see a voting system ever being implemented. Though if you really feel strongly about it you could strike up a thread in the feedback forums (linked below) and see what happens.
