Games don't use GPU to load

Hello, I need help. I notice that when I play some heavy games such as Elden Ring, Resident Evil,... they do not use GPU to run but CPU instead. As you can see, almost 0% GPU usage from the game. However; it doesn't happen when I play League of Legends. For League, both CPU and (mostly) GPU are used (about 40% of GPU). I have Intel i7-9700KF and it doesn't have integrated graphics. My video card is rtx 2060. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Before that, I want to know whether your game frame is normal when your gpu load shows 0?

When playing a heavy game, if you switch the game to window mode and monitor the gpu load of task management in real time, you can press printscreen and take a screenshot to check whether there is load in window mode. You can send the screenshot in the reply.

You can also change the output interface on RTX 2060, such as changing hdmi to dp, and vice versa. The elimination is caused by the output interface problem.

In addition, problems with the video card driver will also lead to low utilization of some games. You can try to completely uninstall your current video card driver, and then download and install it again to check whether the problem disappears.

That's not quite how graphics rendering works. The CPU handles the game logic and draws the scene. It then sends these drawn scenes/frames for the GPU to render to the screen. The CPU doesn't actually do any graphics rendering itself.

On any type of benchmark, if you see close to 100% CPU and lower GPU, it means your poor processor can't keep up with the game. A classic CPU bottleneck.

What CPU does your PC have?

The RTX 2060 is not a high end graphics card. It would actually be on the lower end of the scale in terms of minimum requirements to get a decent performance out of something like Starfield, a game like most open world titles, that also needs a good CPU.

Obsessive Power

I wouldn't use task manager as measure to see how much GPU or CPU you're using. A much easier solution would be install and run MSI afterburner. Then you can set a button to display your hardware performance while still in the game.

As my screenshot below. The performance settings show in the top left corner of the screen. I can have this on or off at will with a hotkey. Quite useful to see how well your machine is holding up.

My CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600 and while I understand that the 2060 is not a high end GPU, when I was using the 580 starfield at least used the GPU. It maxed it out and had some stuttering issues, but it was at least being used. Now with the 2060, games that had previously used my GPU are no longer doing so. In task manager under GPU Engine, it keeps saying GPU 0 - Copy instead of GPU 0 - 3D for the games I mentioned above and the CPU is being used instead.

It's not a gpu it's integrated APU

which is very very low powered if you want to game use the amd dedicated gpu

Intel's most powerfullest apus don't hold a candle to dedicated gpus

Larrabee was supposed to be good but it wasn't (GMA series)
