    games don't load and crash


    i have a couple of games that will will freeze and return to the xbox home, these games include star wars battlefront 2, fortnite, and super hot, i downloaded them digitally, other games watch dogs 2 and the sims 4 wont work either and they are physical
    copies, someone told me that it might be something to do with my xbox so i and posting this out to ask if i just need to get a new xbox.

    Issues with digital full game purchases - games download but freeze in various stages or kick back to desktop

    I can't even load the game and it crashes.

    Dead Rising 3

    I am, with several downloaded games.. I am having issues with the digital version with DR3 as well, and Assassin's Creed 4. In DC3, it freezes when it loads after dying, and I also noticed the textures disappearing or going quirky just before the game
    crashes in other instances. In AC4, sounds aren't working and the game crashes and game saves don't work. I don't know what to do either.

    try power cycling your console by holding down it's powerbutton for about 10 seconds.

    Retry afterwards.

    Hey Ozzy,

    You might want to take a look at our Game Troubleshooting
    page. If the issue persists after going through those steps, try
    Factory Reset     preferably start with the option that keeps your Games and Apps. Let us know how it goes!

    You might want to take a look at our Game Troubleshooting
    page. If the issue persists after going through those steps, try
    Factory Reset     preferably start with the option that keeps your Games and Apps. Let us know how it goes!

    Tomb Raider DE crashing (same spot)

    I'm at 85% complete through the game, had a weird sound glitch so exited to menu so I could reload my save. Big mistake apparently. My save game no longer loads, it crashes to dashboard every time before loading into the game. I can start a new game but...
    I really don't want to, I already 100% many of the areas so by the end of the game I wouldn't have loads of back tracking.

    I don't even know if a patch will fix it. I've tried cycling the xbox power and have just re-installed the entire game, no difference. Still crashes to dashboard trying to load my game.

    I've owned the game since release, and since then the game has crashed several times on the loading screens, which is probably why I sidelined the game. I then started it again, and again it suffered from the odd loading screen crash causing me to sideline
    it again... until this weekend when I decided to purchase Hearthfire and carry on from where I left off... only to be greeted with, oh I don't know, about 6 loading screen crashes in about 2 days.



    The game, in it's current state, is broken. Simple as that. It has nothing to do with patience, and if anything, I've been very patient with it!
