Discus and support Games do not launch (they were launching yesterday) in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I switched on the the computer today and none of my games launch now.     Games do not launch (they were launching yesterday)


    I switched on the the computer today and none of my games launch now. When I reinstall the game the installation fails. I can install new games though.
    Yes to active subscription

    Yes to paid up

    Yes to restarting the device

    Yes to doing that powershell trick.

    I had TABS before, uninstalled and now reinstalling does this
    Children of Morta, just installed it and it works
    Age of Empires, installed it a few days ago, played it for a few days, now it doesn't work.

    Hi PaulGulbis! My name is Ricardo an independent advisor ready to help you with this situation!

    Open RegEdit as an administrator and delete the following Services:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

    Reboot PC

    After that follow this steps:

    Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

    In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

    Restart your device and try to install the game again.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet]

    Reboot PC

    I'm not getting a Report option. Some games are now working, like the Minecraft Windows 10 Beta Edition.

    What I'm experiencing now is this: I can open a game--we'll use Microsoft Mahjong as an example. I can access Daily challenges and Recent Games, but when I choose "Choose a Puzzle." it force-closes the game. I have uninstalled and re-installed the games
    that have been doing this, but that hasn't helped. Could a setting somewhere else be blocking my ability to play these games?

    Hi Ness, Sorry to hear your experiencing these issues. We have not observed this issue being reported. It would be of great help if you can reproduce this issue using "Xbox App (Beta), if it does repro immediately use the "Report a problem". This will generate
    a report with helpful data for the developers to investigate. Even if it does not reproduce, report it anyway and indicate the app version your using. I will call this out in todays report so the developers can investigate.

    Hi Dresdin, the unable to connect to your Xbox is an issue that the developers are investigating. Unfortunately no solutions at this time but developers recommend trying the following troubleshooting tips to see if helps:

    I am also finding that I cannot sign into my xbox app and cannot play the games. It has only happened recently and means that I cannot access it. I am on Windows 10 on a lap top.
