Games, DLC and Updates Failing to Download because of 'Storage'

CupOf3DMilk, that's probably due to an issue with the SSD on your console, I've seen it happen with a friend of mine.

But, there are a few things we could try before assuming a hardware issue.

First, clean the cache of your console that way:

1. With the console turned on, hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until you hear a small sound.

2. Wait 10 seconds.

3. Turn it back on.

Note: It may take a while for it to turn on, don't worry, it's normal.

Then, restore your console keeping the games and apps:

***IMPORTANT*** If you share accounts with someone, you will have to redo the process of placing the account as the main one again, be aware of the chances you still have to do this, as Microsoft makes available per year, only 5 chances so you can make some account your console's main account.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the dashboard.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console Information >

3. Select Reset console > Restore and keep my games and apps.

4. When asked to pull settings from an old Xbox, choose no, thanks

5. You will have to log in to your accounts again, and when you sign in with your account, make sure you turn it has your home console also, that's it.

NOTE: Rest assured, you won't lose games or saves.

Also, check for any pending software updates on your console.

Often in the older 360 consoles with the built in memory unit, this issue will occur.

When the memory unit fails, the Xbox sees that there's an update available since it can't see the update that was on the storage device. When the Xbox tries to download/install the update, the update can't install because of the failed storage device.

Does your Xbox 360 have the memory unit and/or the hard drive?

basically DELETE RANGER DLC OFF STORAGE now when you start the game it will do the title update. then you can download dlc..... YOU MUST DO TITLE UPDATE BEFORE DOWNLOADING RANGER DLC......... if the dlc is there it wont offer you title update..........
this game is AMAZING

If that fails, please also check the GTA V game folder, which is location at settings - system - storage - select storage device - Games - GTA V to be sure no corrupt or incomplete files are present. If they are present please delete those.

After that clear cache, and restart console and try to download the update.

Thanks for the information! It's starting to sound like your storage device is failing. I suggest trying downloading these games/DLC to a different storage device (another hard drive, a
USB drive, etc) and seeing if it continues to give you the same errors.

If it doesn't, it sounds like your current hard drive is failing and needs to be replaced.
