    Games disappeared from game library using GamePass Ultimate PC


    Hi, yesterday all my installed games in my xbox app library disappeared, and I can't figure out what happened. I force closed the app, signed out and signed back in, and completely shut down and restarted my system. When I go to a game I know I downloaded, I click "Install", and a message pops up:

    'Download Gaming Services - Gaming services installs and runs your games on your PC. The software may have been removed or requires an update. Download now to play your game.

    I then click download, and an error appears on the left sidebar just saying Gaming Services required. Click to download. on the bottom, an message pops up saying Installing Gaming service. This may Take a few minutes. My windows notifications tells me it is being downloaded, and the notifies me that it is installed, but nothing in the app itself changes. No matter how many times I clock download, this situation remains unchanged.

    I opened the windows store and tried to update from there, but the store itself seems to be stuck in the updating search. Repairing or resetting in Add or Remove Programs also didn't work. Anyone know what is going on/how to fix it?

    Game passes

    With gamepass you get a library of games but with gamepass ultimate you get the games, xbox live gold and access to gamepass for the pc.

    so personally I use ultimate because I use ot on my xbox and pc, so it’s entirely your preference

    You just get the pc libraries and the cloud play

    Gamepass for console.has xbox games

    Gamepass for.pc.has pc.only games

    Gamepass ultimate has.both and cloud play

    You can't access console.games on pc unless cloud

    Same.with console.can't access pc games part of ultimate

    The library of games for GamePass are different for Xbox and PC. If your subscription isnt' showing up in the Xbox beta app, try reinstalling it then signing in with the same account the Ultimate GamePass is on.

    Thanks for that. But what about online games
    As long as you have a gold subscription or Game Pass Ultimate, then you can still play online multiplayer games.

    Gold: Play online

    Gamepass: play available library of games

    Gamepass Ultimate: Play available Library & Online

    Gold/Gamepass/Neither: play games you own locally

    Unable to play multiplayer games since I downgraded Game Pass Ultimate to Game Pass Console. Do someone know why?

    Gamepass console is only for the library subscription. It does not have multiplayer online. It's more for those that don't play online games but want the library to choose from. You can supplement it with Gamepass core for online, but you would be better off keeping ultimate.
