Games crashing to home or restarting. Need Help!

So I'll start from the beginning. I bought the console the christmas after it came out, haven't had any major problems since then. Every issue I've had before was easily fixed by quitting the game through the home screen or resetting the cache by powering
down. Fast forward to last week I was playing GTA 5 online in the middle of a match and the whole game froze, I was in a party too and I couldn't talk to anyone anymore or even go to the home screen. This had only happened one time before and I was able to
go to the home screen and restart the game. So I turned it off and restarted it only to find that GTA 5 would no longer fully start up. I'd start the game and it would go back to home, crash, make loud repeating noises and it would never make it past the 5
star loading screen. Sometimes it would even force my xbox one to restart itself! So my initial thought was okay since I had my settings to resume play it's probably trying to resume the game back into the session or something and its stuck. After trying to
start it for a few minutes I got annoyed and went to play another game. Put FIFA 15 in and made it to the screen after the ea intro and it froze then went to home. GREAT! So now I'm thinking my system is toast. So I start searching on forums and youtube for
the fix and I see a lot of people have the same issues as me. I try another game Titanfall and surprisingly that works fine. I even start a match and play for a bit. I then check my digital games Child of Light and The Walking Dead 1 & 2. All three work perfectly.
I was so confused so I started going down the checklist. First I re installed the game GTA 5. Still wouldn't work. Re installed FIFA 15 and still no luck. I tried cold reset, waiting up to 30 mins and unplugging everything. No luck. I tried deleting my profile
and starting the games offline. Didn't help. I cleared the local saves, cleared my MAC Address and the blu ray cache. Still those two games kept crashing. So I was super frustrated and my last option was the factory restore. Restored it to factory defaults
and installed GTA 5 first and still no luck! Once I installed all the games again it was square one still. GTA 5 and FIFA 15 crashing and all the rest working. I checked the disks and they are all in perfect shape. So I ran out of all the options I knew and
read about and I probably even forgot some other things I tried. I ended up calling Microsoft on the 3rd and basically explained it all. The rep was nice and put me on hold a few times to ask other reps for ideas but basically even though I had already tried
most of what he recommended I still tried again only for my problem to continue. After trying for about 40 mins over the phone the rep basically said he had no more options for me and he was going to email me then and again when he has a solution. Now I know
it will probably be months if that when they'll reply through the email so I'm trying to see if anyone has had this issue and had a fix not listed above or if there is anyone in the same boat as me? I'd really like to have this fixed as I'm purchasing the
elder scrolls next week and I'm worried its not going to work! Any help is appreciated guys!

Crashing

I cannot load any game on my xbox without it crashing and brining it on back to the home screen. i have tried signing out and wifi along with turning off my xbox and restarting it. please help

 

just got a new xbox one s everytime i try to turn it on it says were haveing trouble loading home

I need help error message 0x81c201c3 it says were having trouble loading home page please try restarting your xbox I did It didn't help I need help.

 

Just a quick update. Picked up elder scrolls online this morning and installed it. It got stuck at 88% so I reset the console then it installed fully. Played the intro area and right as I get to a certain point it froze. Ugh! Restarted again waiting 5 mins.
Cleared everything. Played another 3 mins and then it froze making a sound and then kicked me to the home screen. Now it's just freezing after I play for like 2 mins. Any ideas? Is it my Xbox? Is there anyone who can help?

 

Hi Wolf! One question, is your console plugged into the wall or a power strip? This sounds like an odd question, but actually, being plugged into a surge protector or strip can choke power to the system, so components don't work as intended. I can't say
that is the problem you are having here, but you've tried just about every other possible troubleshooting step. If you are in a strip/surge protector, plug into the wall and try playing something again (you may need to do a factor reset again, to make sure
things get set up and installed without the "choked" power flow problem.) This can also cause a lot of long-term issues with the console, including complete failure of hardware components at any given time, requiring repair.

Unfortunately, aside from that, it sounds like it could be a hardware problem - which could be anything from a disc drive issue to a hard drive problem. But since you're having it so frequently, with so many different games (and the discs are all in perfect
shape) AND you've gone through all of the reinstalls/restarts/resets, then I'm afraid a faulty console may be the only other answer.... In that case, you would need to go to myservice.xbox.com OR call the 1-800-4-MY-XBOX number again to initiate a console
repair.

Hello Jaymo! Thanks for your response. Yes my Xbox one is plugged into the wall. I ended up calling Xbox support again and gave them my service # from the email. The rep had me try a few things again but of course nothing worked. Although he had me try blu
Ray movies which I didn't try before and they actually worked perfect so I'm just really confused! In the end my only option of course was to set up a repair! It's unfortunate but I've tried everything possible and still no fix. So they quoted me a price on
what they believe will be a disk drive issue but I really can't be out that long so I ended up taking it to a local repair guy I trust that has worked on my systems before! I will update my post once he figures out the problem. Thanks again.

(FYI, I just thought of another thing, when you mentioned Blu Ray movies - there is actually an item in the settings which allows you to "Clear Persistent Storage," which deletes cached information that typically is "supposed" to only apply to movies. BUT,
in the past, numerous times people have had disc-based game issues which were solved using this persistent storage method! Since blu-ray movies played, this likely wouldn't have helped THIS time, but it's just good info for the future!)
