Games auto downloading?

so i have been finding that while on my xbox that ill get notified that a game is ready to install. the only thing is these games i am not choosing to download. I have changed my account password and this still seems to be happening. Has anyone else had
this happen or know what would be causing this? thanks

Games do not autosave

What game or games are not auto-saving?

Usually the game will give you a heads up that it uses a auto save feature.

May want to doulbe check the games settings/options menu to see if auto save is disabled perhaps

 

Any chance that you either have a refurbished unit, bought it second-hand or other people have signed into their own accounts to play on your console?

In one of these cases, someone used their profile on your console which made your console their Home Xbox. Now, this person has a new console and is buying games for it; however, because yours is their Home Xbox, the games are *also* downloading to your
console.

If you know whose account might be causing this, notify them to go to Settings>Home Xbox on their own console and make that their Home Xbox. This will stop the sudden and unexpected downloads on your own console.

 

thanks and yes i did have a friend log onto my xbox. does this me the games he is downloading he is not able to play on his xbox cause i can play on mine ?

 

He will be able to play his games on his console while he's signed into Live, but he won't be able to share the games with anyone else on his console. If he sets his console as his Home console, it will remove the games from yours.

 

As Smwutches says, the friend can still play the games on his own console - providing he has an active Live connection.

However, he cannot play them offline and he is the only profile on his own console that can play them (on your console, any profile can play the games he owns). It would be in his interest to make his own console his Home Xbox.

If he does change his Home Xbox, it will prevent games from auto-downloading to your console in future. It will NOT remove the already-downloaded ones from your console's hard drive, but the next time you loaded them up it would ask you to either buy digitally
or insert a disc to continue playing.
