Games aren't rendering

Someone help me please, I'm having heavy rendering problems while playing big games on my xbox - mainly The Witcher 3 and Batman: Arkham Knight. I've tried the hard reset a few times and also reinstalled the games, but it didn't work. The games take a long
time to start and, when they do, it is impossible to play because the scenario, the hud, the menu, everything takes too long to render. I don't know what else to do, just bought Blood and Wine dlc and cannot play it somebody save me.

It's recommended that players who aren't familiar with development shouldn't go into those settings it is possible that it can mess some stuff up with the console rendering it useless until repairs are done to it.

Render issues are usually caused by corruption so anything that is corrupted in the consoles HDD can cause issues such as render problems or loss of saves very slow console etc the only way to remove anything corrupted is resetting the console to factory
defaults. Clearing all games and accounts installed to the HDD.

FeveredBog7185 - You mentioned doing a hard reset. I am not sure that this is caused by any HDD corruption. Try doing a hard reset again but please try it EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts
down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know.

Also, if you have reinstalled the games then if you do try the hard reset first try it without removing the games and apps. It is always better to go the easiest way first.

Genesis 1953 - Thanks! I've tried removing the power cord but it didn't work either. I've done all clearing cache procedures, but none solved my problem, so I think I'll reset the xbox to its factory defaults, as PurpleNurpe mentioned. Hope it works! Thanks

Well, from what I understand it will calculate certain things. Things that aren't latency sensitive. Like how light reflects off dynamic fog. The Xbox will render the image, but the cloud will do the processing that has to do with how the fog reacts to
the light(the more intensive part). Like water simulation, its easy to render, but hard to calculate. The xbox will render the graphics, the clound will do the fluid simulation and pass it back

Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero were practically GameCube era games. They couldn't be THAT demanding.

I think the reason these games aren't rendered in 1080p is because enhanced started in 2017. RARE Replay re-released these games in 2015. By that time the original XBOX Ones were replaced by XBOX ONE X. They just chose not to support the original consoles with
enhancements for these games.

You may not be aware of this, but making 360 and original Xbox games work on the Xbox One is not a simple process. These games were coded to work on different hardware to the Xbox One.

The Xbox 360 for example uses an IBM PowerPC processor architecture. This is totally different to the Xbox One. The 360 has more in common with the old Apple Power Macs before Apple made the jump to Intel in around 2005

To make Xbox 360 games work on the Xbox One, the BC team couldn't just make an emulator and run the games through that simply because the Xbox One has quite a week processor, it's simply isn't fast enough. They approached it from a different angle. The Xbox
One GPU is actually able to emulate the 360's graphics chip, but the processor is a different beast. To get around that they have converted or otherwise reverse engineered the 360 games to run them on the Xbox One. Turning otherwise 32-bit PPC coded games
into 64-bit X86 compatible Xbox One games.

The original Xbox is also different. Interestingly it shares the same processor architecture with the Xbox One in form of an X86 Intel Celeron 700Mhz processor, but its graphics chip was NVIDIA based.

So even though a game like Perfect Dark doesn't seem so demanding, it's a lot more complex than that. It's not like taking a PC game, putting it on a more powerful PC and pushing up the resolution.
