Games & Apps switching lag

When i switch to a game from an app the screen for the app stays there for a split second to a second. It's not instantanious is what Im saying.

Example: The other night i was playing Rocket League with my friends and i had Pandora playing in the background and i wanted to change the station so i opened the guide and opened the app, changed the station, then go back to Rocket League. When i go back
to Rocket League, the Pandora screen stays there for a split second before it switches to the game.

I've tried a factory reset keeping my games and apps. I should also mention i did not have this issue until after the Clubs & LFG preview update.

I also have had issues with bringing up the guide. When i double tap the Xbox button it takes a few seconds to bring it up and sometimes when i double tap the Xbox button, the controller will vibrate bringing up the Turn off Console or Controller menu.

I did a power cycle for the guide issue and it worked, but i noticed it once last night.

Sorry for the long post but any help/feedback would be helpful.

Stream vid in the background = better experience

No offense Mitchell, but I believe your line of thinking to be ignorant & foolish. Lag-switching affects everyone's connection & so does streaming a video. Think of it like this: If you slow down your connection, how can you possibly expect the game to send
that information at the exact same speed to others' as if you hadn't streamed the video? It DOES affect EVERYONE's connection & not in a good way - for anyone. This method, like lag-switching or any other method like it, is inherently wrong & selfish. Don't
do it.

 

The Lag switching needs to stop...

In regards to the previous post about lag switching, it doesn't really matter. If you lag-switch, you get banned. Period. So, take my advice & don't do it. In fact, we shouldn't even be having this discussion which appears to be promoting lag-switching in
a way.

 

How good is your internet? I have 100mb/s download speed and 10mb/s upload speed. Is your console hardwired to your home network via Ethernet cable, or wireless and are multiple people/devices using the internet at the same time.

Also remember Xbox 1 only has a slow 1.75Ghz clocked processor (AMD Jaguar 8 core APU). More cores means a processor can handle more apps simultaneously, but how FAST it can handle it.... also depends on the clock speed.

 

When i download a game it usually stays between 3.5 and 4 Mb/s so my internet is kind of slow. I am using wireless and other people/devices are on it. I get the processor thing but ive never had this issue before so i dont know what to do
