    Games & Apps screen issue


    Hi, since the November update my games & apps screen has been not working properly. When I scroll right, at first it would jump over to the ready to install section, skipping over the majority of my games, forcing me to scroll left to get to the game I wanted
    to open. Now on top of that it sticks and delays moving either direction, sometimes for several seconds. Also, Rare Replay games I already have installed on an expansion drive are appearing on my ready to install list. I hesitate removing them a) because I
    fear they will become unplayable and 2) since the update I do not have a remove option with games in that section like I did prior to the update. Any ideas how to correct these issues? I can post a video showing the issues if that would help... Thanks in advance,

    xbox one black screen when loading games

    I have the same issue with Forza 5. A little more clarity on my situation:

    • Attempting to start Forza 5 from the Play Disc option does not work. The button reacts like it should but nothing loads.
    • If I go to My games & apps, I am able to launch the game to a black screen with the (X) logo in the top right. The XB1 still responds to controller input (nexus button) and kinect voice input.
    • Call of Duty: Ghosts starts fine from both the Play Disc option and the My games & apps screen.
    • Netflix starts properly from the My games & apps screen.
    Upon power cycling the console completely, my issue was resolved. I hope my details can shed some light on fixing this, thanks for your help!

    Cannot found DLC of Dirt showdown on xbox one "my adds and games" by Backward compatibity,although had download it from xbox.com

    From the Xbox One dashboard, scroll down the Home screen and select 'My games & apps'.

    In the 'My games & apps' screen, highlight the DiRT Showdown tile and press the menu button on your Xbox One controller to select 'Manage game'.

    From here, check the 'Ready to install' portion of the menu to see if the DLC shows

    Sorry to hear it. First off please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down. That should resolve some of the minor scrolling issues.

    As for the games in your Ready to Install list, the Xbox One is backwards compatible now and if you purchased them in the past they will show up there. There is no need to delete the ones you already have installed.

    The remove option is not accessible at the moment but hopefully they'll bring it back soon.

    Last Played Game or App always starts when Starting Party App WHY!

    The issue is that unlike other apps that can be ran in full screen the party app dosnt have a full screen option. Because it does not have a full screen mode it must be snapped to start the app and to display the snapped view of anything another app must
    be running on the left side of it and the xbox defaults to the last used app or game to do this.

    If Microsoft added a full screen mode for the Party app it would end this problem as the party app would just default to the full screen version and not require another app or game to be running. Just one of the many over sights and issues that need to be
    corrected with the console.

    How fast will we be able to 'Freeze' the XB1?

    You can't snap between games, only between a single game and other apps/the home screen, so I don't think it will be an issue.

    I have not heard of other issues like that. Does the app not recognize the inputs to get past the loading screen? Or does the game crash?

    Hi,

    A Windows BSOD (blue screen of death) isn't going to be something that the Xbox App creates. The Xbox App may well be in beta but it's not unstable and it doesn't create blue screen errors.

    If your system is freezing and is getting stuck in the BIOS screen this indicates a hardware issue with your PC.

    Can you play other games on your PC from Steam or other launching software? If these games work and don't crash then it won't be a power issue.

    Can you provide to us your system specifications?
