Games and Updates not Downloading!

I just got a new XBox One yesterday and I am having a big problem. I got through the setup and everything just fine, but now that I have purchased a couple games in the store and have bought a hard copy of Dead Rising 3 none of the games are downloading
or updating properly. Her is what happens:

For Dead Rising I put in the disc and it tells me I need to get an update for the game. I press install for the update and it loads only 42, sometimes 43 percent of the update then stops making progress. I have tried this multiple times,each having the
same results.

For marketplace games I am able to purchase them, but when I try to download them no progress is made at all. It says "Installing" but nothing ever happens with the progress.

Just some extra information: My internet connection is not the problem, whenever I check in the settings it says I am connected to XBox Live. Also I am aware that there has been an issue with XBox Live, "Purchase and content usage limited", and I am wondering
if this is possibly the reason why this is happening to me.

When attempting to download a game... or a update for a game.... the install goes "queue" like every 5 minutes, it makes the download go by very slowly. there is nothing else in my queue and the game still goes into "queue" all the time making it take hours
to download a simple update. very annoying. any ideas how to prevent this?

Sorry to hear it. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.

 

UPDATE: I have tried hard resetting the console, which has not worked. I've also gone through the forums looking for people with a similar problem but haven't really found a match.

 

What i do when ever i buy a hard is disconnect from the internet install the game then reconnect to the internet and do the update, hope this helps

Thanks, but I already tried this. It works for the installation part but as soon as it's done installing it tries to update. I know I can decline the update and play offline but I don't want to do that forever. Also this isn't an option at all for the
marketplace games that have no hard disc copy.

im having the same problem, Ive had my xbox for over a month and haven't played cod ghost for awhile. there was a update for the game on july 1 and it wont let me download it !!!!! I even tried hotspot on my phone and it doesn't work so its not the internet
