Games and apps won't load saves or sync data

Well I finally fixed it by doing a factory reset and reinstalling all my games back from a hard drive. As soon as I started them, they immediately retrieved all the data I had previously. The cause was probably a change in the type of network, as I remember
the problems started when it connected to a wireless network when my Ethernet was accidentally unplugged. Hopefully this post saves someone the 12 hours I spent trying to fix this

Well I finally fixed it by doing a factory reset. I copied the games back from my newly purchased $100 hard drive (thanks Microsoft) and they all immediately retrieved my previous saves with no issue. I can now resume everything as I left it. The issue was
not downed services, but a weird error in the OS I think was caused by it connecting to a wireless network when it was set to wired. Hopefully this saves someone the 12+ hours I spent on forums and on hotlines trying to fix it

Dam having this issue right now, i am wired and halo mcc refuses to sink! so annoying, only just got a replacement x1 cos my first one disk drive died.

Had 7 xbox 360s red ring on me, i swear i am getting fed up, ms hardware is built like crap!!

my launch fatty ps3 and slim ps3 work flawless still, my launch ps4 works flawless, x1 lmao on my 2nd console allready! if this one dies ms can stick it, i will just play onm y ps4,wiiu and pc this gen.

redifining won't work

the problem is on the cloud's end

it's saving and syncing all the other data except for the mentioned dlc's

so the game loads as if the dlc is not installed

progress etc. syncs just fine

There's one thing i can think of to try get your data back,

You'll need to install the Xbox App and then install Forza Horizon 5 from Gamepass Xbox App on to your PC/Laptop as all your save data is now stored somewhere on your PC/Laptop local storage,

Once done,

Launch Forza Horizon 5 from the Xbox App, not from Cloud Gaming and don't let the data sync as you'll have two different data saves, one is now local on your PC ( your main save data ), the other from the Cloud ( your new fresh start data ), you don't want to overwrite the save data that you accidentally saved to your PC's local storage,

The game needs to load the save data from your local storage on PC to get your save data back,

Once you've loaded FH5 from the Xbox App and you are in game,

You should be able to see everything back after you've done this, then let the game save and you can exit, and then try launch FH5 from Cloud Gaming, let the data sync/ sync to the cloud and you should have everything back, hopefully.

Try loading the game the save data was for, if the save syncs up, then you might have only deleted from the console. If it doesn't sync, then you will probably have deleted from the cloud and console, and there will be no way of getting the save data back.

no, you won't as they are also saved on the cloud. So, once you'll open the game it will sync the saved data.

Play anywhere games sync data so its a simple load and the data is the same. I can play Astroneer on either console or PC and it is the same save game that just sync's.
