Games and apps won't load saves or sync data

Ok so I tried playing Halo: MCC yesterday when I noticed that the campaign playlist for CE said I had 0 out of 10 missions completed, however the day before that it said 2 were completed. I tried resetting the game/ console several times (Including hard
resets, full power cycle etc.) and still nothing. I then finished the first mission to see whether that did anything and still at 0 out of 10. Thinking it was a problem with the game, I tried forza horizon 2 which wouldn't load up past the title screen saying
it had an "error in loading the save". I then tried forza 5 which had the same problem. Fifa 14 worked, but it wouldn't load anything so it started at the initial level. I finally tried the internet explorer app to look for a solution and even that wouldn't
work. I called customer support who had me re-install my profile, clear the cache, remove local saves, clear persistent memory and fully turn off the console. None of this worked. The only remaining option is to reset to factory default. I am going to get
a hard drive and copy all the installs (I am not going through those updates again!!) then try the reset and see if this works. I will update with any developments.

Can`t sync cloud data

I can't some games will sync others won't.

Microsoft can fix this problem easy stop focing us to sync data to the useless cloud and let us save our game saves to usb or hard drive like we can do on the xbox 360 a console that is much better then the useless xbox one

 

Data won't load, games and apps will not function.

I can't play any game or use any app right now. When I try to launch a game, it loads, but at the point where you have to press A to enter the menus, it says that data won't load and that I should try again later. I've waited two days and it still won't
work. My internet connection is absolutely fine, so why won't the games and apps load? Where is this data that they need to function?

 

Hello, Xbox are having some problems right now yes they are aware of this and are working on a fix.

The following are the problems: Accessing or retrieving data stored using cloud storage

Joining other Xbox Live members in online games

Managing friends lists and tracking what friends are doing

Sending text messages to other Xbox Live members

Unlocking achievements

Viewing achievements

So much for the power of the cloud. My console becomes a paperweight if I can't access my data when I want to. These issues are way to frequent especially since I paid for a service that's down every time I try to use it. Get your act together.

 

WOW DYLAN, I don't get any message saying that there is an error in the sync that many others are, and also this has been going on for over a day now. Is this still the same issue?

So they say the issue is fixed and I can now see friends list/ achievements but the issue with my games not loading is persisting. I'll try again later in case they're still fixing it but it looks like I'll have to do a hard reset after all....

 

DarkKnightGC96, the problem hasn't been resolved yet. You may see your friends list again but the problem is still on going.

This is the first time something this bad has happened to me but I guess I've just been lucky

 

Ok so I finally fixed the problem. Much as it seemed to be, it wasn't the result of Microsoft's server issues, it was a problem on my end (I tried several times after they said problems were fixed and nothing). After moving all my games to a new hard drive,
I reset to factory defaults and plugged the hard drive back in. Immediately it synchronised the data for any games/apps I tried and they worked with all my previous data intact. I am pretty sure the cause of the problem was the xbox connecting to a wireless
network when it was set to a wired one by default (I forgot my Ethernet cable was plugged into my 360, turned on the One and then the save issues started). So for anyone who can't play/save their games this could be the issue. Reset to factory default is the
only thing that will work for this (several hours of failed customer support and forum suggestions attest this). Hopefully this post saves someone the trouble I went through
