Games and Apps will not download - do not even go to que

Hi all I am having real trouble with my Xbox one X. On Friday I encountered a problem where bf1 would not start and then all my other games would also get stuck on the start up screen. Talked Xbox support and went through process of resetting console
and my account - no joy. In the end I uninstalled BF1. I also purchased a new external hard drive (the Xbox branded one from saegate just to be sure). Everything seemed fine until I tried to reinstall BF1 and nothing happened - it says I own it - gives me
the option to install - I press A and nothing - it does not go to que or anything. The same for any other game or app on the store. Talked support and they could not fix it. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Not even sure how to add the Nuketown 2025 maps. It says its in my que. I go to download it and nothing. How do I do so? Thanks again!

 

Can't download Netflix on my Xbox 360

I tried to download Netflix on my Xbox 360, but i am not given the option to download. I created another Xbox live silver accaunt but still nothing, and I also dont have the tab for apps only games&apps so I can't even browse apps. The only way I've could
perhaps download Netflix is to go on a basic non Live accaount and then go to apps tab and then press download on Netflix, so then I need to log in or sign up to xbox live I do that and then its same I can only pin it to taskbar. Please help its not only netflix
its all apps.

Mister Citi thanks so much for responding I really appreciate it.

Since I posted I set up my original Xbox one and unfortunately I got the same result the store simply does not work.

My Xbox is wired to an air bridge (ie the Xbox thinks it it wired).

My detailed network statistics are:

- Download speed 5.33 Mbps

- Upload speed 0.64 Mbps

- Packet Loss 1%

- MTU 1460

- Latency 248ms (although another test was 168) - which is understandable seeing I am in Australia (my local Latency is 42 Ms.

I realise this is all pretty low for USA standards but it is fairly average for Australia - I can push it higher on a lower reliability setting to about 7 Mbps if needed.

Ian using a Billion N7800 gateway (modem router).

I have noted that when I set up the original Xbox it updated the console without a problem and updates for my games seem to still occur and show up in the que. I should mention I have done a hard reset a number of times, cleared my cache (persistent memory)
etc.

I admit I do not use the store all that much and BF1 is really the only game I play that is entirely digital - I am however a member of a clan and missing out on events has been a bit frustrating- any thoughts suggestions would really be appreciated.

Hey Simon! Those speeds are on the low end so they may be the reason you're having trouble. Is there any way you can try a real wired connection to see if it helps out? Additionally, if the One X is set as your home console, can you try to start the install
from Xbox.com? Post back and let us know how it goes!

Thanks again for getting back to me Mr Cizl I will what I can re increasing the speed. Also I did look to install via website but was unsure how to do this - can you give some hints on the process.

I will try what I can this evening - it will night. Time for you so hopefully you will get an update tomorrow.

I think we are closing in on things - tonight I set up my original Xbox One and wired it using a fresh Ethernet cable straight to my Billion 7800n gateway.

So we had different hardware with a direct connection to my router. Unfortunately the store still refuses to download anything (ie it does not make it to the que or anything).

At this point I am thinking it is either my router has a problem or there is a problem with my account or some setting got changed on the Xbox servers. I visited my internet provider as well (I work close to their head office) and had a long chat with their
tech guys and they suggested it is probably not a speed issue as mine is the same as the majority of their customers with Xbox (Australian internet is pretty bad although it is being upgraded Nationally at the moment).

I am going to look into the router issue further and see what I can do there - if you or the Support team have any thoughts that would be good.

I should mention that my connection for games I have installed is pretty good, chat is working well and my Xbox is continuing to update those games I have installed so it remains confined to downloads from the store.

My guess if it is not an account issue or server glitch is that the latest update may have been too advanced for my old router - total speculation of course but little really remains from my end.

Illogical checked my privacy settings and that said it was unrestricted - do you know of any other setting on the Xbox that would stop the store from downloading content.

Hey Simon J X! Because its happening on two consoles that would lead me to believe the network connection may be the culprit. Is it possible to test the console at a friends house to see if you're able install games? Post back and let us know!

What fixed this exact issue for me was to connect my console to my phones hotspot for a few mins without downloading anything and then switch back to your internet. I was able to download games and apps after that and now everything works fine. I would suggest
doing this.

You are a deadset legend mate this actually seems to have worked, I swapped to the hot spot and I did try and down load something small, one of the free apps and cancelled then went back to my wired connection and battlefield started to download again. I
thank you and my more importantly my wife thanks you.
