Games and Apps Crashing to Dashboard

Yesterday I started having an issue where certain games and apps start to load and then crash to the dashboard. I tried powering down the XBOX by holding the power button for 10 seconds and then unplugging the XBOX for several minutes. That did not work.
I tried uninstalling the app (skype) then doing the power down/ unplug and then reinstalling but that did not work. Tried booting up with and with out the Kinect plugged in, no go. Not sure if this makes a difference but the two games that have the issue
(Halo 5 and Destiny) I've logged a good deal of time in them compared to the other games I have. Any help would be appreciated.

Hard reset doesn't fix it for me. Games and apps crashing to dashboard consistently.

Try this.

Hold the power button for about 10 seconds until console shuts down.

When light on power brick turns amber disconnect the power.

After a minute or two reconnect power and switch console back on.

 

Glad I'm not the only one.

Are some audio files stopping and then playing all together at once? Cause that's also happening with mines.

I've already factory reset my Xbox from that whole bad update they put on our xboxs with the only solution to reset your Xbox to when you first ever plugged it in.

I can't even watch TV at the moment and *** getting annoying!

 

Haven't had any audio issue (yet)! Trying to avoid having to do a factory reset, but getting really *** not being to play my favorite games. Let me know if the reset fixes the issue.

 

Open Skype, But before you launch it make sure its on the home screen, hit the home button, start quit, then launch the app again. With the games, are they digital or disk?

 

I'll try that as soon as I get back home. As far as the games, both. I have one (Halo 5) that is digital and another (Destiny) that is disk, although the Taken King expansion was digital.

 

First off. The NEW UPDATE IS HORRIBLE!!!! The layout is ridiculous and halfofmy apps and games I can't play for some reason.

The games and apps that do not function I can not even select to uninstall them. This is a mix of both hard disc and digital games. The other half work fine. No problem.

So how the hell do I uninstall and reinstall a game or an app if it doesn't let you do it? I even tried reinstalling the "update" (should really be called "downgrade") but to no avail.

What do I do? Because after spending the last 4 hours with forums, xbox support suggested scripts, I am about to smash it.

 

Having same problem since update. I played through the halo 5 campaign and it took ridiculously longer than it should've, because it would constantly crash home or freeze. I thought maybe it was a problem with halo 5 specifically until I experienced some
bad video lag and subsequent crash to home screen while playing MK X as well. It's bittersweet and probably beneficial to me right now considering I should be studying, but *** it I need an excuse to procrastinate! No chill Xbox, no chill...

 

Ok. So although my xbox one was a little slow before the NXOE which was disappointing. It pails in comparison how slow it is after the NXOE. 22 mins to load Black Ops 3 and over 10 to get to any other game I own. It will not load most games most of the time.
Mt connection speed is good. I can have my brother bring his One to my house and hook to my internet and it does not happen on his. I purchased 11 xbox 360's ( 6 red ringed) and now I am forced to believe that the MS team does not have any interest in the
hardware or its configuration. Below are my current load times after the NXOE which are much worse than before.

Navigation window > move stick to the left = 3 mins

Any game at least 8 mins to load.

Black ops 3 and Madden 16 rarely load at all if they do will not load the game before blue screen and restarting the load process.

I have uninstalled games and re-installed> have all updates > and a gr8 internet connection that I have no other issues with. Its just with, and this is a common statement in my house, THE XBOX..

Very frustrating for something I have invested so much in over the years. Every communication I have had with Microsoft they act like this is something I should expect with a next Gen system.....that is BS. I expect 500 dollars worth of console and games
that I pay a min of 60$ for should work. Lags should be because of game servers and they should be upgraded if needed to please the CUSTOMER to the best of your ability. I am tired of the run around. I would like someone to tell me my best course of action,
although I am concerned because this request has fell on deaf ears over the years.

 

So uninstalled and reinstalled both of the games resolved the issue.

 

for me the game that crashes the most since update is SW battlefront. guaranteed once a day without fail. youtube app is the worst, allmost every time i turn on the console with syncing and message 4 sum reason it took too long to load and then is unresponsive
and wont work or let me uninstall until turned console off and on again.

 

Same thing is happening to me I will load YouTube or battle field and get the message game toke to long to load please try again try battle field again and it will work but YouTube lockso up have to reboot to fix it

We have the same problem. Especially with Battlefront. Some multiplayer packs lose video and everything is b lack! You are chasing around dots. The crashes mostly happen when you do missions. My guess is this is when the HD is most active or trying to access
a lot of data. Uninstalled and re-installed battle front, no help. Actually made it worse. Happens more often now. We are at a loss and do not know what to do. Can I replace the HD myself?
