Gamertags (what is going on??)

I have checked this gamertag regulary it used to exist and now ots gone..

Or it exists just not in the manner you are thinking of

Remember gamertag is the same as Gamertag or Gamer Tag thats the way the system sees it

However when you do a friend search it must be exaxt context to find it.

This is for thr privacy and protection of xbox live users

However wirh the new system if it exists and not a banned name you get a hashtag attached to your new name this is automatically assigned

It wont tell you the exact context but either way the name exists so you get a hashtag attached

I know what the tag im wanting, ive not misspelt it or anything.

And also, certain names as Gamertags seem to be unavailable. Celebrity names, copyright names etc. So it might depend on what the Gamertag is and if it would be something that might conflict with with liability that Microsoft might have if they allowed
gamers to use that name.

Is the gamertag spelled correctly? This includes letter spacing, using numbers in place of letters (eg, a zero instead of O).
