gamertags and extremely inactive silver members

Recently i wanted to changed my gamertag to Depravity when i tried to it said a silver member all ready claimed it i added him he hasn't been online for a while all i know is that it says offline and i think silver members who are inactive should either
have there gamertags reset due to inactivity or deleted btw i'm not implying if your a silver member and play constantly you should get your gt reset only implying if your extremely inactive like a year or so than it should be rested or deleted either way
excuse my spelling errors and my question is will MS ever start doing this ? (not likely as of now thats what i think unless due to high demand)

Next-Gen Xbox to Make Old Gamertags Available?

What if you could get that old gamertag that's been inactive for years or never used? What if Microsoft allowed us to use the old gamertags or names that have never been used on Xbox with the next-generation Xbox? Some names haven't been used because they are used on other Microsoft LIVE services such as Zune.

I think it would be awesome if they had a specific time frame that inactive accounts would become available again after going silver. Say 6 months after its been silver/inactive, make it available to the public again. And you could keep track of how many times its been transferred owners like they have the numbers now for how many years you've been on Xbox LIVE.

 

Free up a inactive gamertag.

I was wondering if you guys could free up the gamertag e since it's a silver member and has been inactive for awhile. I want to change my gamertag to e but it's taken by a inactive user.

 

Gamertags are also used for other services such as Xbox Music and Xbox Movies. Just because it has no games, doesn't necessarily mean it's inactive.

 

First come first served with GT`s, just choose something else.

 

Bro maybe said person plans to come back. Removing his account would extremely be unfair considering he paid the money for the gamertag in the first place.
