    Gamertags And Downloaded Games


    I have just mistakingly downloaded Black Ops 3 with my old Gamertag. It plays perfectly but when trying to play it with my new tag the game will not launch-can this be fixed or will i have to continue playing with my old tag?

    Xbox One Gamesharing specific question

    We have 3 xbox ones and 3 gamertags.

    If Console A belongs to Gamertag A, and likewise with B and C

    We buy a game with Console/Gamertag A

    Console/Gamertag B sets Console A as its home console and downloads that game.

    *Here's the question*

    Can Console/Gamertag B then switch its home console to Console C and still be able to play the game downloaded from Console/Gamertag A.

    Was the game download from the marketplace? If so, then it's tied to the gamertag and the console that it was downloaded on. You'd need to sign into the gamertag that downloaded the game in order to play it.

    The gamertag must match your physical region in order to download the game. Most games are IP locked and cannot be downloaded if your gamertag does not match your location.

    Since you've created a new gamertag, you won't be able to download it with that new gamertag.

    Download 'Smartglass for Xbox One' on ios/android, sign in and download for each Gamertag, alternatively....delete the game and re-download it on each Gamertag.

    Having said that, if you are the only one with Gold, you can't. The Gold is only 'shared' on the console, not given to each Gamertag as a gift.

    I can't download Dungeon Siege 3

    I mean that the reason you cannot download the game is because you live in Germany and your gamertag is set to Italy.

    If you want to download the game then your gamertag must be set to Germany. Until you do that you will continue to have issues downloading games.
