    I saw your other thread. It's because you have special characters in your new tag. Not all games are updated to work with that gamertag system and will show your old tag.

    Mistake in Gamertags

    The # and numbers after it means that the tag was taken and the numbers is so peoole can search for which one you are. The #12344 wont wont show up in games just gamertag. They released the statment explaining everything when they did the gamertag update.
    It also supports 13 languages
