Gamertag wont change

I have changed my gamertag from the auto one that xbox gave me but it still wont change after a month. I tried logging out and back in but still it wont work, I even uninstalled the xbox app and nothing.... why and what do I have to do?

You Need To Update Your Billing Information or Go To System Settings Go To Your HardDrive Your Using And Click X And Clear System Clache or Delete Profile Only And Try Redownload It also you might need to go sign in on xbox.com And Change It to U.S and itll
work .

should be instant normally? also restarted my xbox and removed the profile and readded it.
