Gamertag will not receive messages or invites

So for the past three days I have been dealng with this. My gamertag will not get any messages on the xbox 360 but if i go on xbox.com there are a bunch Ive checked my network,deleted and redownloaded my profile. It is 100% gamertag related because i made
a backup one to test it and that works without issue.Any ideas how to fix this? xbox phone support wasnt much help at all

Can't receive Social Notifications But can send out.

I can't receive any Social Notifications, such as messages, party invites, and game invites. I receive the messages but not pop up notifies me that I have received it, when I send out a message or game/Party invite the notification for it being sent is shown......so
the popup function works.....just not when I receive them.....

Apparently its something to do with messages being sent between the two different systems.

If its sent from the 360 to the one, it won`t show up and vice versa.

Not 100% sure on the details as i don`t have an xbox one, but it won`t be your tag that`s the issue.

Have you checked your notifications are turned on?

Have you checked your privacy settings?

 

What is your privacy settings for communication set on?
