Gamertag Was Unfairly Changed (It did not violate terms and conditions)

Okay so I logged into my account and my gamertag has been changed from KneeGrowFoSho to some replacement name. I was completely unaware that my name was frowned upon since the last I checked the proper spelling of *** isn't even a bad word
in our society. I myself am black and so I just don't see where the logic is coming from to switch my name when there was nothing wrong with it in the first place. If people are getting offended over it then they must be very sensitive and not understand what
the word *** means which is black by the way. My name should be acceptable within the community and I would like it to be restored or receive the rights to change my name without having to pay. This is getting a little out of hand I think.

Then I called and some girl told me that I violated the terms and conditions which is NOT true. I then talked to a representative online who agreed that my name was not violating the terms and conditions at all. I just really felt offended that I called
for help and waited forever for a worker to provide me with false information to avoid helping me when your online support did a much better job all around and took the time to actually help me.

So all in all I want my name back. I did not break any rules, I am a loyal customer and I spend tons of money each year on xbox live and microsoft products. I am not about to spend $10 to get something fixed that wasn't against the rules though.

How did you lose your xbox live account ? Not heard anyone not able to change their gamertag unless the tag they want violates the terms and conditions.

gamertag was changed

My gamertag was changed from [Mod Removed] to ItchyFoal222283. My old gamer tag did not violate any terms of use and I would like it changed back.

You would need to file a complaint on them via the console in order for the enforcement team to investigate.

In addition, please to do not post gamertags of others as a name and shame.

Reporting them as suggested is the best way and the Enforcement team will take action as necessary. This forum is a general discussion area and largely populated with gamers like you and me. Reports aren't checked or filed here. Hope this helps.

As a paying customer I disagree Daft Badger. I have Terms and Conditions too. By me signing up to microsoft's so called 'service', they are now bound by my own terms and conditions and they have in fact violated MY terms and conditions. It's like me buying
a product and then 3 years down the track the person from whom I bought it from takes my product and exchanges it with something else. This is not what I agreed to nor is it acceptable. When I purchased my gamertag these new 'terms and conditions' were not
in effect. Had I known the terms and conditions would be changed in such a way I would not have PAID MONEY to have my gamertag changed in the first place

This being the case, I would like the option to change my gamertag to something of my liking as per the original terms and conditions to which I complied with when I bought my gamertag. The fact of the matter is, if my gamertag was offensive it should have
been deemed so upon purchasing it. The fact that this was overlooked is a flaw in Microsoft and is their fault, not my own. In my mind, at the time of creating my gamertag, I WAS obeying the terms and conditions. I would like either a refund of which I am
happy for it to be Microsfot credit or the option to change my GT to something that I would like.
