Gamertag was reported and now I have to pay to have it changed

After playing with my gamertag for a while I received and email saying it was reported and changed to a randomly generated gamertag. Now its making me pay to change it. Should't I be allowed to change it to something that fits the TOS without being charged?

My gamertag was force changed

my old gamertag BabyPuncher1775 was reported for being inappropriate and was force changed, now I just want to change the gamertag but I don't think I should have to pay to change something I didn't change in the first place.

Not anymore. They have changed this, due to the fact, that people would simply create yet another offensive Gamertag. You now get a random generated, Seriously though - if you think about it- why should you get a free name change when those of us who
have created acceptable ones would have to pay to change ours? No disrespect.

Also multiple force name changes will only end badly for you

A permanent suspension of the account

Each time it will cost you so you have to take the rules more seriously or read it more carefully

So what was your gamertag before?? Could it possible have been reported? If reported Xbox will force change the gamertag to something random. If you want to change it again you have to pay the charge to change it.

It sounds like to me that this was a forced gamertag change, and you said that you recieved an email about it being offensive as well. Right now the only way to change the gamertag again is to pay the rate of a normal gamertag change.
