    Gamertag Transfer Problem


    Good evening,

    Today I purchased an XboxOne. When doing the initial setup, it asks you to enter either an existing e-mail account or create a new. I entered the e-mail that I used for my Xbox Live account on my 360. It then asks to enter a password. Unfortunately,
    I entered a brand new password instead of the one that previously went with that e-mail. The result is that it created a brand new gamertag for me. I did not create the gamertag that you see. Now, that old password does not work with the current e-mail
    and it's if the old login never existed.

    I still have my 360 and the hard drive still contains my Live account. However, I am unable to get that account over to my X1. Has anyone heard of this happening and if so, do they know how I can recover my Live account on my X1?

    Impossible to change Microsoft account linked to my Gamertag.

    I'm having the same problem, I want to transfer this gamertag to another email. The only problem is while trying to transfer I accidentally created a gamertag on the email I wanted the gamertag to be transferred to. So I followed the directions on the transfer
    gamertag website. The email I now want to transfer my gamertag to is gamertag free, but when I try to transfer now I get Status code: 8016FE6D.

    Gamertag Transfer Problem

    Please be sure to use the exactly same emailadress like you used on creating your account on the 360. Normally if using the same emailadress and entering a wrong password gives you an error. So it may be that you used the wrong emailadress.

    So just go ahead and try again.

    Hey there Zena! Are you saying it won't let you sign out of your yahoo profile on your tablet? Can you tell us exactly which tablet you have? It sounds like you'll need to do a factory reset on your tablet to change the login. I know a lot of devices like
    Windows Phone require a factory reset in order to change the Live account that signs in on it.

    Called 1-800-4my-Xbox was told they couldn't escalate my call. So I either had to chose a different email. Or as I was told by the support person my floor support supervisor told me it's really complicated and we can't escalate your issue so just try another
